Payday 2 Review

My son (he is 11) has been begging for this game for a few months now and I finally agreed to buy it for him as a Christmas present. I have been cautious and have watched him play for the last few days and found out that the game isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. There isn't anything sexual and he already knew the bad words that you will hardly recognize anyway. There are drugs in the game but there are drugs in insomniac's Spiderman. You are punished for hurting civilians but you do have to do cops but let's be honest, do you think your kid will end up killing and robbing banks from playing a silly videogame? If your child is 11-12 and wants it I think it will be perfectly fine.

Aug 13, 2013  Much like one of its heists, Payday 2 can get a little sloppy, but the potential payoff is big. Much like one of its heists, Payday 2 can get a little sloppy, but the potential payoff is big. Sep 12, 2013  But it's also the heart of Payday 2 in another respect: it's the point where vague, unclear game mechanics and a steep, pointlessly restrictive upgrade system lets you down. Payday 2 isn't a.

Although I don't own the game. I still find Payday 2 to be a very great game by watching gameplay on YouTube.

Despite the fact you run around, rob banks, kill law enforcement, produce illegal substances, and a whole TON of cursing in this game. Killing civilians/hostages is optional although the heist contractors highly advise players to refrain from killing civilians/hostages and there is a harsh penalty (by losing in-game currency) if you do. For all parents hesitating about getting this game for your kids, keep in mind that it's 100% not real (police are dumb and can be taken hostage by just yelling at them), and think if your children can handle the violence in the game and definitely won't reproduce this in reality. Although there are a lot of DLCs that cost $70.34 altogether (including map packs, weapon packs, and character DLCs), but most DLCs cost $0.99 or $1.99. Lastly, this game is WAAYYY more suitable for younger audiences than games like GTA. This game has been one of my favorites for a long time.

It has an awesome twist on first person shooters. Although this game is violent and not to mention very bloody it is an outstanding game and is for surely a classic. In this game you can rob banks, loot people’s stuff, steal drugs and destroy stuff. All of these things give payday it’s specialness and ability to stand out in the crowd.

Although these things are terrible and should never be repeated doing these crimes makes the game fun and makes it stay fun for a long time. It gets boring playing games like call of duty all of the time and this is not like one of those games. The soundtrack really makes the game amazing too it has awesome songs that will make your blood pump and make you want to play the game more just to listen to it. I love that this game has no sex barely any language and No nudity.

It dose have lots of violence and drug use but most of that is from the Scarface pack. This game packed cool masks too! There is tons of customization on your mask and weapons. You can add skins, patterns and most importantly chose which mask or gun you want because there are so many options it’s cool.

This game also has lots of cool add ons from movies such as reservoir dogs, John wick (a favorite!!) Hardcore Henry and Scarface it adds so many new maps and possibilities. You can also play any style you want you can snipe go heavy go stealthy go in with melee weapons or just go in guns blazing. This game is fun it’s thrilling and really it makes you learn teamwork because it’s hard to do it on your own!! Hi parents,Payday 2 is a game that my child got without me knowing. And so one day I walked into our game room and he was running around with guns shooting people with blood and gore everywhere, which I was curious about, because he usually shows me when he gets a new game he tells me.

We play Halo a lot together so I didn't really freak out, when I saw it. He started robbing a bank and it looked like an interesting game, so I watched him for a minute and I saw that there was no nudity, so that was nice. The thing I was the most concerned about is that he would steal cocaine and weed to sell.

Other than that, the game was fine. There is a lot of language, but other than that, it is a decent game. Payday 2 is without a doubt a violent game.

Many things are in the media, however. There's a negative stigma in video games, as the theory of young and impressionable minds replicating violent scenes from movies is, for some reason, increased ten fold for video games. The main problem many people seem to have with Payday 2 is the fact that you're stealing. Well I pose two counters to that. My first is that it is implied in almost every case, and outright stated in others, that you aren't robbing normal people. You're going around stealing from the corrupt.

I make a point to look at people playing the game and asking my young one about the game before I let him completely have it. He told me that in one so called heist, you steal a bomb that a villain is going to use to attack a city, and instead of selling it, you destroy it. The game is of course violent, but it also enforces teamwork. If your child and their friends don't pre-plan before a mission, and work together in supporting roles helping one another, they are destined to fail. The violence isn't much worse than the World War 2 Call of Duty's, with a red mist eminating when enemies are shot, similar to the film Gettysburg. Large penalties are invoked for harming civilians caught in the crossfire, and the characters guide outright chastises and takes away your score if you do. Playing heists without killing is also encouraged.

I would most certainly make sure to talk to your child about drugs, as some of the heists involve stealing drugs from mobsters in order to cripple their business. I was very concerned about this, but I saw that the game shows drugs in a negative light so I digressed. If your child is around 14, and is mature, they should most certainly be able to hand the violence and content the game shows. If you aren't sure, watch them play a demo or see something on the internet of the game.

Movies tell us the life of a successful criminal needs to be free from attachment. Unless you want to end up doing a dime in last season’s orange jumpsuit, don’t cozy up to anything you can’t drop in thirty seconds when you smell those handcuffs coming around the corner. Being a crook in, however, requires some social ties: three friends, or a couple of acquaintances with solid internet connections, at the very least. If you can muster up a motley crew with a few mics, you’ll have a thoroughly enjoyable avenue for pulling off intricate, replayable heists and amass all the riches and weapons that bank-robbing, art-thieving, drug-running, and meth-making can net you.Just like the original Payday, this sequel pits four career criminals against a vault or a stash, and most certainly an absurd number of well armed but dim-witted boys in blue. You and your fellow co-conspirators begin most levels casing the joint, walking around sans masks, trying to pick out scores and potential liabilities.' .you’ll have a thoroughly enjoyable avenue for pulling off intricate, replayable heists.'

Missions are far from straightforward, though, and can play out in several different ways. Say you’re knocking over a jewelry store, full of case after case of glittering prizes. Use silenced weapons on the guards, keep a man on each exit for crowd control to make sure civilians don’t go tattling, and you can make a clean break, riding high on the nail-biting tension as you escape in the van you rode in on.Payday 2 offers a significant amount of variety, though. Most robberies get loud and nasty real quick.

Maybe because you stepped in front of a security camera in the “employees only” part of the club. Resident evil 2 download. Maybe because some rent-a-cop noticed the Kevlar undergarment beneath your Brooks Brothers shirt-after all, bigger armor and guns come with a higher visibility rating.'

Payday 2 offers a significant amount of variety.' Regardless, missions that get rough quickly become sessions of dig-in horde mode tactics while you hold out for a drill to crack a vault or some other wait-out-the-clock scenario to unfold. In these instances, those looking for more advanced shooter tactics won’t find the need for more than good mic communication and a balanced team. There are enough variables to keep trips to the same bank from growing stale too quickly. Stash locations shuffle like three-card monte, and increasing difficulty levels bring extra steps and trip-ups. Better knock out the power before your buddy goes to work on that electrified safe, or he’ll be doing the 10,000 watt shuffle, spastic trigger finger spraying rounds into you and the civies.' There are enough variables to keep trips to the same bank from growing stale too quickly.'

You may not have guessed it from all the twisted clown smiles, but mowing down bystanders in Payday 2 is a no-no. Spilling innocent blood comes with a hefty fine, deducted from the team’s pay out, and everybody you kill is one less bartering chip you could have hogtied. Having a hostage is basically Link’s fairy in a jar, letting you make a trade to bring a downed teammate back into the action. It's a crafty concept, but the execution lacks flare. You walk up to a zip-tied hostage and press the use key, like they were a safecracking drill or any other objective. There’s also an abundance of holding the use key waiting for a meter to fill, when rescuing a downed cronie, picking a lock, or loading up on loot. It's not particularly fun just holding down a button while everyone else is engaging in all the action. There are moments where concept and core gameplay mesh nicely.

A Breaking Bad-inspired meth heist, where your team has to cook the product by directions barked over walkie talkie, stands out. Get the order right or it’s more than your paycheck that burns. It’s also a troubling amount of fun ordering hostages to the ground before opening up on a phalanx of SWAT officers.' It's not particularly fun just holding down a button while everyone else is engaging in all the action.' Those cops seem happy enough to walk right into your bullets though, provided they get to try and fire back. Enemies are none too smart, and neither are your AI allies. They won’t even touch mission objectives, and because the most effective way to move bags of loot is like turn-of-the-century firefighters passing buckets, most missions are unplayable without at least two humans wearing masks.Even with DOA single-player, Payday 2 offers a lot of bang for a below-average asking price.

Debuting at $30 on Steam, its co-op action is gangbusters with the right crew of like-minded individuals. Better AI and a few more clever gameplay flourishes could have pushed it into must-play territory, but as it stands it’s still worth putting a team together and hopping in. Just make sure to say, “please crack the safe,” and “would you kindly hand me that loot.” You’re gonna need your buddies around when the heat comes looking for you. This game was reviewed on PC.
