Guardians Of Ember Builds

Justin, Bree, and Tina discuss Guild Wars 2 Path of Fire, Guardians of Ember, the EverQuest franchise, Villagers & Heroes' Starfall, Secret World Legends, Star Trek Online, and Ultima Online F2P, with mailbag questions on the best time to join a guild and deal-breaker MMO features.

Is there any good place to find different builds? First time I tried making a build my character was a total failure. So I tried the guide for what the author called battlemage. Which is not as much as a battle mage as it is a whirlwind knight with arcanist passives + one shield skill from the arcanist. So I was curious about trying to go for a more arcanist centered build and play as a real caster. But I cant for the life of me find any builds anywhere. And I'm sadly not good (Read: I'm a total idiot when it comes to making builds) at making my own.Is there any resource I have missed? I've checked reddit but doesnt seem to be much info there. Also, he recommended getting the resource regen with skillpoints, but it seems to hardly mather.

Its 0.15% per point in it. And with a lot of points spent on it. I'm not even up to 3%.which seems 100% useless considering you have 100 in total for your resource spenders. Sure you regen it slowly but 3% faster is like.no difference. Instead I could put them in more damage/crit. Which would mean less skills used, which will mean less resources used in the first place.Actually I think I will try and calculate it when I get home.

Spend all the resources and see how long it takes to regen back to 100, then reset all my skillpoints and do it again. Maybe I'm missing something? What I would assume would be a good way to build an arcanist would be to find the following:1. Good resource free attack for use when out of 'mana'2. Good resource spender3. Good resource spender4. Good Support skill (Movement, Healing, Shielding, CC etc)5.

Good Support skill (Movement, Healing, Shielding, CC etc)6. Good Support skill (Movement, Healing, Shielding, CC etc)Issue would be if 2 and 3 have 'long' CD's, then I would need to remove 4,5,6 and replace them with damage skills.

But I dont think it would be possible to solo hard dungeons without some self preservation skills. Because pure glass cannon would never work unless you got enough dps to kill stuff before they reach you. Which means you would most likely already be geared enough to not need the stuff from the dungeons in the first place.So.anyone got any build advice for a solo arcanist build? Or should I just stick to the 'battlemage'-build I'm using now if I wanna solo?

Originally posted by:I use arcanist and only skill +0.5% crit chanceFor 2nd class i used priest all crit aswellNow im lvling engineer and try different things. So i can change my role just by changing my 2nd class and gearI use some of the skills that i unlock but i dont unlock skills that dont give me crit. Basic skills do good aswellSounds nice, do you have any skills you would recommend to use in particular? Did you take priest just to get the 0.5% crit or you took it also use some defensive skills? Once the game is opened to max level it will be far easier to make builds for different classes.

I know that Ghazzy is working on something like this but it will be a slow process to start.Oh I understand that, but I can barely find any info at all. Of course I didnt search that much to be fair and mostly tried to find it with google. Which might have been a mistake on my part, but usually work in other games. But I hope we will find more info on builds soon for idiots people like me. I'll see if I can get something up before Xmas. Problem with builds right now is that all of them works the same way.

You either go Poison Fog Ranger + X or you go with Knight + x for tanking. Other builds are generally 2h wep with hard hitting spells as mana regen is useless at this Point even with maxed jeweleries you get about 8 mana / sec whilst you burn about 20 mana/sec making you drain yourself of 12mana/sec in maxed gear so energy recovery rate is worthless at this time.

Since dual wielding is currently bugged it is not recommended as the dmg is far below what its suppose to be and also helps you burn your mana even faster. I am looking forward in seeing dual wielding getting fixed soon tbh. There are a few rather fun approaches you can do, and as long as you are playing in a party it really doesn't matter what build you do it will all be fun:).
