Sharing accounts is against EULA for PS3. It was added when the PS3 game sharing thing became a problem for PSN users.And the reason they don't allow character transfers yet is because of what happened with WoW and people buying and selling characters and accounts.

Big time legal issues arose when people were getting ripped off and Blizzard got dragged into it. Now there is no MMO that allows this. You can expect this feature to show up when they find a way to keep that from happening. Coming from an IT and game management standpoint, this is never likely to happen.

One account can be logged in only once. This applies to the PC version too. Characters can't be transfered between accounts (not even between servers, despite the multiple requests for server transfers).You can only use another account to play together - with crossplay coming soon, it could even be a PC account. Whatever.If you are moving from one PS3 to another PS3 or a PS4 there shouldn't be any big problems. You have to use the same PSN for the same region as before. Maybe you connected to the wrong region and are looking for your characters on the wrong server now by accident?
